2. Fill with cold water to cover the bones and vegetables.
3. Set to soup then manually adjust the time to 30 min.
4. Wait for the steam to release naturally
5. After the lid is unlocked, take out the ingredients
6. Season to taste
7. Strip off the chicken and return it with chopped carrots
8. Add chopped parsley and cooked noodles or rice (optional)

Hello, I’m glad I found this recipe, I was looking for something similar! Question: Doesn’t the broth need to be de-fatted before finishing? Typically, if I make broth on the stove, I’d need to refrigerate and then take the fat off the top once it gels. Thank you!

Hi Elizabeth, it depends on the chicken that you use. I tend to go for free range ones and the meat is normally fairly lean so there is virtually no fat. If I feel it needs de-fatting, I also refrigerate. I hope it helps :-).
